The Advisory Council's function is to support and enhance the Community Based Abstinence Education Grant Project ASPIRE by providing advice to the project director in areas such as project implementation, marketing, advertising, and communication with the community at large. Advisory Council members will act as a liaison between Project ASPIRE and the community. Advisory Council members will aslo promote the goals and objectives of Project ASPIRE for the purposes of sustainability, volunteerism, and recruitment of new partners. Membership
The Advisory Council will consist of 12 members, each serving 1-2 year terms.
Council Members should possess:
1. A strong commitment to the enhancement of public education in our community to meet the mental, social, and physical needs of the youth. 2. A willingness to meet with and enlist the support of community leaders, local businessess and other community based groups. 3. A willingness to speak on behalf of Project ASPIRE, to serve in the role of ambassador to the community, providing information about the projects progress and activities. 4. A desire to contribute talents and expertise to meet project goals. 5. A willingness to participate actively in sustainability activities. |
